Terms, refunds and privacy
The parts that aren’t sales copy.
What you are buying, how the money-back guarantee actually works, what you own and how to take it with you, and what happens to the information you give us. Last updated September 7, 2026.
Terms of service
Who you are contracting with
TasteLed is a product of Aethr Design, a design studio based in Fairfax, Virginia, United States. “We” and “us” mean Aethr Design; “you” means the person or business buying a website. Your card statement will show AETHRDESIGN, not TasteLed.
What $500 buys
A complete, designed and built website: up to three pages, your existing content migrated and rewritten onto it, your domain configured at your registrar, hosting on our infrastructure, and two rounds of revisions before anything goes public. Additional pages are priced at the point of purchase — $75 each for pages four through six, $50 each beyond that.
Add-ons
Three add-ons are available at checkout and are refundable on the same terms as the base price: Enhanced motion ($200), Rush ($250) and Second language ($200). Anything bought later, while your build is already running, is a mid-run add-on and is non-refundable — see the refund section below.
What we need from you, and what happens if it doesn’t arrive
After you pay, you complete an onboarding form — around 31 questions, 15 to 22 minutes — and send us the text, images and logos you want used. If nothing arrives, we begin building seven days after payment using whatever we have. We will leave a section out rather than fill it with placeholder text, so a client who sends us nothing receives a short but real website.
Delivery
Three business days from the moment you submit the onboarding form to the moment your site is ready to look at on a private link. The clock is measured from your submission, not from your payment, so it never runs while we are waiting on you. If you never submit the form, no dated promise applies and your build follows the seven-day path above.
The Rush add-on shortens that to the same business day, provided the onboarding form is submitted before 12:00 p.m. Eastern; after the cutoff it means the next business day. If we are going to miss a promised date we will tell you in the portal on the day, and name a new one.
Revisions and approval
You see the finished site on a private link before it is public, and you get two rounds of changes. Nothing is published until you approve it. Approval is the point at which the work is accepted and the money-back guarantee ends.
Domain and hosting
You buy and own your domain — typically about $12 a year, registered in your name. We configure it for you and never hold it. Hosting is included at no cost for as long as the site is up, on infrastructure we operate and pay for. There is no monthly bill and nothing for you to configure. We do not charge to keep your site online, and we do not take a site offline for non-payment, because there is nothing recurring to not pay.
Your content, and your responsibility for it
You confirm that you have the right to use the text, images, logos and marks you send us, and that publishing them does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break any law that applies to your business. We write complementary copy around your material; we do not verify your claims, your credentials, your prices or your regulatory disclosures. Sites in regulated fields — financial advice, legal services, healthcare — remain your responsibility to review before you approve them.
We will not build a site for anything illegal, deceptive, or designed to impersonate someone else, and we may decline or stop a project on those grounds with a full refund.
What we do not promise
We do not guarantee search rankings, traffic, leads, revenue, or a specific score in any third-party testing tool. Your website is provided as it is delivered and approved. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for anything arising out of your project is limited to the amount you actually paid us for it, and we are not liable for lost profits or other indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts serving Fairfax County, Virginia have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before filing anything, please email us — every dispute we have had has been cheaper to fix than to argue.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your project is the one published on the day you paid, and this page carries the date it was last changed.
Refunds and the guarantee
The guarantee, in full
You can ask for your money back at any time until you approve your site, and we refund the full purchase price — every dollar you paid, including the processing fees charged on the transaction. There is no restocking charge, no withheld deposit, and no partial-refund tier. Email info@aethrdesign.com and say you want a refund; you do not have to give a reason, and we will not put you through a retention conversation.
Refunds are issued by hand through the same payment method you used, normally within two business days of your asking. Your project stops at that point and nothing is published.
When the guarantee ends
At approval. Once you have looked at the finished site on the private link and told us to publish it, the work is done and delivered, and the guarantee no longer applies.
The two things it does not cover
- Mid-run add-ons. If, after seeing your site, you buy an upgrade or an addition to a build already in progress, that purchase is non-refundable. It is work you commissioned with the result already in front of you, and we say so again at the point you buy it.
- Anything after approval. Covered above.
Everything bought at checkout — the base price and the three checkout add-ons — is inside the guarantee without exception.
If we miss a delivery date
A missed standard delivery date carries no separate credit. The guarantee already covers it: if the delay makes the purchase not worth having, ask for your money back and get all of it. A missed Rush order is the one exception — that add-on is a promise about time specifically, so if we miss it we refund the $250 whether or not you keep the site.
Chargebacks
Please email us first. We have never refused a refund inside the guarantee window and we are not going to start; a chargeback costs both of us more than an email does.
Your content and your site
You own it
Your text, images, logos and brand remain yours throughout — sending them to us grants us permission to use them to build and host your website, and nothing more. Once your site is delivered and paid for, the finished website is yours: the design, the copy we wrote for it, and the files it is built from.
You can leave at any time, and take it with you
Ask, and we hand over all of it. No notice period, no exit fee, no negotiation.
- Your domain is already registered in your name — there is nothing to transfer.
- Your site’s content and configuration export as a single archive, together with every image and asset.
- The built site is a folder of static files that will run on any host you like.
- On request, we put the source into a private repository under your account.
- If your DNS is on our infrastructure, the zone moves to your own account or to any DNS host you choose.
Your domain, your content, exportable any time. We host because it is cheaper for us to run than to bill for, not to hold anything hostage.
What we keep
We keep the underlying system that builds these sites — the templates, components, tooling and pipeline — which is not part of what you buy and is reused across every project. You are buying your website, not the workshop.
Showing your work
We may display your finished site, its name and screenshots of it in our portfolio and marketing. If you would rather we did not, say so at any time and we will take it down.
Privacy
This website
tasteled.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party trackers, advertising pixels or externally hosted fonts. Visiting this page tells us nothing about you. The pricing configurator runs entirely in your browser — your selections are not transmitted anywhere unless you press a button that sends them, and the page tells you which button does that.
What we collect when you buy
- Contact and business details — your name, email address, phone number, business name and the answers you give on the onboarding form.
- Material for your site — the text, images, logos and files you upload for us to use.
- Payment records — the amount, the date and a receipt. We never see or store your card number.
We use this to build your website, to talk to you about it, and to keep the records a business is required to keep. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it to advertise to you.
Who else touches it
- Our payment platform handles the transaction and holds the card details we never receive.
- Cloudflare hosts this site, your site and our client portal, and keeps ordinary server logs.
- Our email provider carries our correspondence with you.
- Anyone the law requires — a valid legal demand, or a genuine safety emergency.
We also use AI tools as part of how we build, which means content you send us may be processed by them under agreements that prohibit training on it. If that is a problem for your material, tell us before you send it.
How long we keep it
Your project materials stay with us for as long as we host your site, so we can fix and change it. Financial records are kept for seven years. Everything else we delete when it stops being useful. Ask us to delete your data and we will, except for records we are required to keep — and note that deleting your project material means we can no longer maintain your site.
Your choices
Email info@aethrdesign.com to see what we hold on you, correct it, get a copy of it, or have it deleted. We answer these within 30 days and do not charge for them, wherever you live. Virginia’s Consumer Data Protection Act, the CCPA and the GDPR each grant some version of these rights; we would rather apply the widest one to everybody than ask you where you live first. We do not sell personal information under any of those laws.
Children
We build websites for businesses and do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
